Carrie B. Hampton, 62 of Indianapolis, passed away Tues. May 1, 2012. She was an employee of the State of Indiana for 42 years. She was an employee of the State Police Department for 15 years. She was formally employed by Central State Hospital for 27 years. She was a Breast Cancer Advocate. She was a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by husband, Garry L. Hampton, Sr., son, Ramone A. Cork (Lisa M.); step son, Garry L. Hampton, Jr.; daughter, Carla V. Cork; step daughter, Dawnelle D. Hampton; brother, Rev. Evans Williams (Gloria); sisters, Cora M. LeFlore and Abbie S. Hoskins (Patrick); 7 grandchildren. Service will be held Mon. May 7, 2012, 12:00 Noon at St. Luke M.B.C., 5325 E. 30th.
