Carrie Louise Baker was born on July 17, 1933 in Pensacola, FL to Gladys Louise Baker (Williams) and Ralph Waldo Baker. She was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School in Pensacola, FL. She attended nursing school and later worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She retired from Hawley Army Community Hospital at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, IN in 1995.
Carrie is preceded in death by her father Ralph Baker; mother Gladys Baker; brothers Kermit Baker, Willie Baker, Roger Baker, Ralph Baker, Ronald Baker and Elmer Baker; sisters Catherine Milton, Bette Brady and Portia Millender.
Carrie is survived by daughter Renée Sims; granddaughters Adrienne Thomas and LaKeisha Jones; brothers Donald Baker and Anthony Baker; sister Bertha Thornton.
