Carroll Allen Powers

81, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on August 27, 2013. He was born July 4th, 1932 in Stewartsville, Indiana to Roy and Bessie Reynolds Powers. Carroll is survived by his beloved wife Anna Nix Powers to whom he was married for 59 years. He was a devoted father and grandfather to his sons Mark (Jacque) Powers and Kerry (Stephanie) Powers. His grandchildren include Lynn Powers, Rob Powers, Andrew Powers, Ashley Blair (Ben), Lindsey Powers, and great granddaughter Ainsley Powers. He was preceded in his death by his parents and brothers Lowell and Robert Powers.

Carroll enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. He was an avid trap shooter for years as well as being the family photographer. For the past 20 years you could find Carroll making laps at Washington Square Mall with the walking club; if you could catch him! Carroll served in the US Air Force and was an engineer at Naval Avionics for 30 years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 31st at 9:30AM at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary followed by a Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be Friday, August 30 from 4-8 at the mortuary. Memorial contributions in Carroll's name may be made to St Vincent DePaul Society or Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
