Catherine (Kitty) Louise Quigley Holmes was born on November 16, 1937 to Joseph and Catherine Quigley in Indianapolis, Indiana .She went to be with Jesus on October 21st, 2024 after a short illness and hospital stay at St. Vincent Ascension in Fishers, Indiana. Her final day was spent surrounded by family and friends. She was dearly loved by so many!
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joseph, Michael and Daniel Quigley. Older sister Mary Nell died in childhood. Kitty is survived by her Irish twin brother Jerry (Barbara) Quigley, son David Holmes (Sandy), and daughters Missy Holmes and Laura (Jeff) Brisben, grandchildren Amber Evans (Donnie), Nick Holmes, AJ and Ryan Brisben, great grand children McKinley and Maylie Evans and finally, many nieces and nephews.
Kitty graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1955. She obtained her nursing degree as a Registered Nurse in 1958 from St. Vincent Nurse’s Training. After starting her family, Kitty worked for St. Vincent as a surgical nurse and later surgical patient liaison from December, 1970- November, 2003. Kitty was an amazing nurse and was truly loved by her patients. She was admired and loved by many for her compassionate and nurturing personality. Kitty genuinely loved people and helping them or even just talking to them. Those who met her even once never forgot her. She was kind, loyal, funny, compassionate, beautiful and a bit feisty if needed. Kitty loved her family, her Irish Heritage, books, earrings, dogs and chocolate. She never met a stranger.
