

Chakira was born in Passaic, New Jersey to Joan and Joseph Irving, on July 14, 1977. She graduated from North Central High School and furthered her education at Vincennes University, Indiana/ Purdue University and Ivy Tech, until she started to have health issues. Chakira loved to travel and spend time with family.
Chakira is preceded in death by her Father: Joseph Irving, Brother: Dushan Irving, grandparents: Ned and Mary Bradley, grandmother: Mattie Irving, Aunts: Georgia Snowden, Virginia Matthews, Loretta Bradley and Uncles: Henry and Thomas Sumter.
Chakira is survived by her Mother of the home Joan Irving, Nephew: Kalija Irving, Nieces: MaryLue and MaRiley Irving of New Mexico, Aunts: Ella Tilley (Jimmy) of Connecticut, Gloria Sumter, Uncles: Willie Bradley (Tracey) Passaic, New Jersey, Barry Bradley (Dawn) of West Palm Beach, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Family, and Friends.
A visitation for Chakira will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
