Charlie D Harris Sr.

Charlie D Harris Sr, was born May 13, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Frankie Louise Harris-Square and Charlie Lockhart. Charlie and his mother shared the same birth month and day. He departed this life March 5, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Charlie received his education from Indianapolis Public Schools He began his career as a Dietary Aide at Wishard Memorial Hospital in 1975, retiring after thirty-one years in 2006,he was a member of Truth Apostolic/Whole Man Ministries.

Charlie was married twice to Lucille and Darlene, and out of these unions five children were born; Yalanda Harris, Charlie Harris Jr, Daniel Beatty, Darius Harris and Carson Harris. He relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio to live with his cousins Richard and Mary Tunstill. In Ohio he joined Kennedy Heights Church of Christ and was a faithful servant on the maintenance team. Charlie was a child of God, who spent his life serving. In his spare time, he loved assembling Legos, often bringing completed Lego assembles to church for display. He is survived by: daughter: Yalanda Harris; sons; Charlie Harris Jr, Darius Harris, Carson Harris and Daniel Beatty; four step children, Danny Taylor, William Jackson Jr., Jacqueline Dobbins, and David Beatty; sisters, Josephine Robbins, Tilwander Lockhart, and Sherry Lockhart-Clossum; and a host of treasured grandchildren, family, and friends.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, father, and stepchild, Laquanda Griffin Lange.
