

Darren Michael Brown, the son of the late Robert Michael Brown, Sr. and Sandra R. (Waters) Brown, was born on February 6, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Siblings Cheryn and Robert Jr. were also born to this union.
Darren accepted Christ at an early age, uniting with the Martindale Avenue Church of Christ.
Darren graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1984. He earned a Bachelor's of Science degree from Indiana University (Indianapolis) in 1992, and an MBA from Anderson University in 2001.
Darren worked for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) at the Major General Emmett J. Bean Federal Center, as a General Accountant, until his retirement.
Darren enjoyed being a proud pet parent to Princess Zelda. He also enjoyed bowling, going to the movies, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. He was an avid Colts, Pacers, and Indiana Fever fan. He liked playing card and word games, as well as solving puzzles. He was a fan of all types of music, but Prince was his favorite artist.
Darren departed this life on October 5, 2018. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Darren leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Sandra R. Brown, brother, Robert Brown, Jr., sister, Cheryn Holmes (Tommy), two nephews, Tommy Holmes Jr. and Christopher Austin Holmes, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a scholarship fund in Darren's name to help inner city children in Indianapolis achieve their dreams.
