Mr. David Lawrence Clay, 80 of Indianapolis, passed away Wed., May 29, 2013. He was a member of St. John A.M.E. Church. He was employed with General Motors Truck & Bus. before his retirement. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Beulah Clay; Albia Watts and Betty Watts; and 3 brothers, Alfred Clay; Richard Clay and George Clay. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Clay; son, Kelvin Clay; daughters, Sharon Kelly(Thomas) and Deneen Johnson(Robert); sisters, Leona Johnson; Dorothy Hubbard and Mary McClendon; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; cousin, Barbara Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Tue. June 4, 2013 12:00 Noon at St. John A.M.E. Church 1669 Columbia Ave., with calling from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home 5252 East 38th. Street.
