80, of Indianapolis, passed away June 8, 2011. He was born March 9, 1931 in Indianapolis the son of Leo M. and Mary H. (Bugher) McCarty. David was a veteran of the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at ATT with production planning and printing for 7 years retiring in 1995, previously he worked at Cornelius Printing for 23 years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. David is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Mary T. Lenahan McCarty, children Kathryn M., Michael D., Kevin J., Dennis J., David V., Thomas A. McCarty, sister Mary Lee Griffin, brother Gerald L. McCarty and 13 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 11 at 9:30 a.m. at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday June 10, from 4 – 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorials may be made in David’s name to Riley Children's Hospital.
