

Gary attended the Louisville Public School System and after graduation, attended Aaron Trade School. Gary moved to Indianapolis with his family in 1981. He worked at Day Cleaners and went back to Trade School as a construction worker. Gary was known as "Mac" to close friends and family. He loved working with his hands. He loved to fish with a passion. He was full of life and kept people laughing. He loved his family and always talked about them.
"Mac" was joined in holy matrimony on November 12, 1971 to Doris Jean Jones. They were married for 37 years. He turned his life around for the Lord in 1994. He became the good Deacon and was with his wife in the Ministry, Christians On the Move For God. He loved teaching Sunday School to the Saints. He loved being a Deacon and fishing. Being outdoors was his way of life. He also loved to barbecue.
He leaves to cherish his memory,his loving and devoted wife, Doris Jean Jones Holton; children: Jamal S. Lipscomb and Chelise Young, Son in Law, Robert Yount; siblings: Theodore Muhammed, Linda Gibson (David), Mitzi Smith and Teresa Ferrell, Three Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Friends may call on Friday, November 8, 2013, 9am to 11am, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 11am at the Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel.
