Sam L. Scott, Sr. 72 of Indianapolis passed away Friday, April 16 at his residence. He was born in Cuba Alabama to the late Walter and Allie (English) Scott, Sr. He received his formal education in Alabama. after 35 years he retired from H&B Company where he was Assist. Building Superintendent of Maintenance. He was Vice Chairman of the Wishard Advisory Counsel, Member of Lawrence Vice Prescient Committee and a Three Fountains Board Committee Member. He was a member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; 4 sons, Sam L Scott II, Donald D. Davis II(Margie), Daniel D. Mallory, II and John L. Bates; 3 daughters, Samantha L. Daniels (Byron), Alice M. Givens (James) and Joyce Toussiant (David); 2 brothers, Maxie (Gloria) and Eric (Colleen)Scott; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 5p.m. until 9p.m. at Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church. Service will be held Friday, Noon with additional visitation from 10a.m. until time of service at Nazarene Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home.
