Deana and I were best friends in 5 th grade at Allisonville Elementary school. She made me laugh all the time. She was confident and full of spunk. I remember her big dog Sam and the big piles of leaves her dad would rake and then we would jump into. We spent two weeks together at a great camp up in Canada. What an adventure. I had lost touch with her but this loss makes me sad. Many good memories of a one time best friend. Elaine Hoffman

Deana was a beautiful soul who accepted people  unconditionally.  Her sweet smile melted hearts. She had a way of building others up even if her world was upside down.  Deana was empathetic, understanding and loving. My heart will smile whenever I think about her.

I had the pleasure of working (and playing of course) with Deana at TGIF in the 80s. She was always such a bright loving spirit in an otherwise often darkened world. Like a brilliantly colored butterfly uplifting everyone she touched. And she certainly did touch the hearts of so many people. Forever changed us...and I can still feel her shining on. I'm very very grateful to have known her. I'll never forget her telling me that the most important thing was to always be true to yourself. She lived by those words. She was love, light and wisdom in a little tiny package. I wish peace for all the family and friends in this difficult time.

Deana lived downstairs from us in our apartments. My family and I didnt get a chance to really know her but she always said hello , and was always smiling. This is something that is refreshing to see, that smile. Condolences to the family-  John G Family
