Denise Michelle Reeves

Denise attended schools in Gary, IN and graduated from Lew Wallace High School, class of 1989. She attended Howard University, in Washington DC, graduating in 1994 with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science.

Throughout Denise professional career, she was employed at Butler University, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Smithsonian Institute, and United Way.

Denise enjoyed fishing, cooking, evening driving, watching movies and traveling. She was nurturing, loving, selfless, determined, goofy, silly, sensitive and strong. Denise will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Denise is preceded in death by Maggie Lee Reeves (Mother) and Alia Genice Reeves (Niece).

Denise leaves to cherish her memories; sons, Ryan L. Reeves and Peyton G. Reeves; father, Iris G. Reeves; sisters, Yolanda R. Reeves and Iris J. (Joshua Dream) Reeves; niece, Breya (Jamie) Johnson; nephews, Jalen Keaton, Jordan Reeves and Montae (DeAndra) Reeves; and other family members and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana, 46208, on October 6, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Following the Memorial Gathering, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue, beginning at 12:00 pm.
