Dennis "Denny" C. Wilkerson

Denny was born April 13, 1951 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN to the late Cleo and Frankie (Fultz) Wilkerson. His parents both preceded him in death.

He graduated from Harry E. Wood High School in 1971. Denny was employed at Klosterman Bakery, Wonder Bread, and Walmart in Southport and Greenwood until 2009. He was outgoing, friendly and well liked by his many caregivers, fellow patients and residents. He loved the Lord and his family. He attended Baptist churches for many years in Indianapolis.

One of his favorite pastimes was playing Santa Clause at Union Station and some of the major malls in Indianapolis.

Denny is survived by his son, Justin Wilkerson (Deborah) and step-grandson, Michael, of Noblesville; two daughters, Sarah Polakoff (Wayne) and granddaughter, Maya, and Emily Wilkerson all of Noblesville; brother, Kenneth Wilkerson (Eileen) of Whiteland; sisters, Jean Forrester (Craig) and Joyce Pettigrew (Bill) all of Indianapolis; nieces, Lelia and Frankie; nephews, Kempis, Jonathon and Cody; several great-nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held Friday, October 17th from 4:00-6:00pm in Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224, followed by a funeral service at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Washington Park North Cemetery. www.familyfuneralcareindy.com
