Dominic John Sergi

Dominic J. Sergi 89, passed away peacefully Jan. 1, 2011 in St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Indianapolis to the late Giuseppe and Teresa Sergi and grew up in the Holy Cross Catholic Church Area. Dominic was employed by Naval Avionics for 35 years retiring in 1978, and was a WWII Army Veteran. Dominic and his late wife Betty were married at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Mishawaka, In. in 1951. Dominic and Betty had been members of St. Bernadette Catholic Church since its inception in 1953. He is survived by three sons, Joseph (Jackie Ruckelshaus) Sergi, Francis A. (Trish McMahon) Sergi, Anthony P. (Carol Schoelkopf) Sergi; 7 grandchildren Mark, Dan, Tim, Emily, Monica, Matthew and Katherine; brothers Frank, Joseph(Tom), and Michael Sergi, and sister Maria Lorenzano. Dominic was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" and brothers Anthony and Rocco Sergi. Visitation will be held on Monday Jan. 3, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Little and Sons Funeral Home Stop 11 Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday Jan. 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 4838 Fletcher Ave. Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. www.
