Donald E. Burdett
80, Indianapolis, IN, passed away February 12, 2020 in Greenwood. He was born March 30, 1939 in Indianapolis. Don attended Ben Davis High School and worked at the Bryant, Allison Transmission and as a Self-Employed Carpenter, where he retired in 2007. He was a member of Westside Church of the Nazarene for 80 years and was most recently attending Southwest Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Joann Cooper-Burdett; sister, Darlene Rumple and brother, Richard Burdett and sons, Mark A. Burdett, Michael E. Burdett (Becky Gilkeson) Jack W. Cooper Jr. (Debbie) and daughters, Machelle A. Edmonson (Michael), Kim Smith (Doug); grandchildren, Drew Burdett, Yon Smith, Jadon Edmonson, Jack Cooper III, Jessica Oliver, Nathan Bright, Eric Bright, Timothy Trusler (Amanda), Tyler Smith, Travis Smith ; great-grandchildren, Ava Oliver, Nora Oliver , Evelyn Oliver, Joe Cooper, Zoey Phelps, Gracie Cooper, Ariya Smith, . He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet K Strouse-Burdett, parents, Hurlie and Gertrude Burdett, his brother James Burdett (Edna) and his sister Erma Burdett. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 18, from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. in Family Funeral Care-Rockville West. Service will be Tuesday, February 18, at 1:00 p.m. also in the funeral home.
