She was married in 1973 to Patrick, 45 years ago.
Donna was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She finally achieved her dream of being a nurse when she graduated from Ivy Tech in the 80's, while raising a family and working full time. She was an amazing and motivated woman.
She loved to take care of older adults in nursing homes to the tune of 9 hernia surgeries and a "nurses back". She also worked at the prison at Grissom Airbase and Home Health Care. She loved taking care of the children she worked with and always loved them very much.
She was a very loving mother and grandmother, spoiling them as much as she could. She was a prolific reader. She read all of Stephen Kings novels, as well as Dean Koontz , and many more. She loved to build puzzles, bowl, play bingo and card games. She knit, crocheted , and did needlepoint. She also took a painting class with my cousin where she produced a wonderful picture. She made all of the grandchildren their fist blanket, which some still carry around!
And with the computer age, she loved to play all kinds of computer games.
Most of all, she loved her friends. She enjoyed many good times with them, shopping, going out to eat, Cracker Barrel was her favorite. I know we have all lost a light in our hearts with Donna gone.
