Donna Jean (Samson) Marshall passed away peacefully at her long time home, surrounded by family, on May 5, 2023, after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer that was first diagnosed in 2012. Through the efforts of the doctors and nurses at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio she spent many years in full remission before being re-diagnosed in 2021.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Marshall, her high school sweetheart. They married in 1966 and were married until his death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Hager Samson Osborne and her brother, Donald Ray Sanson. She is survived by her brothers Edward Samson (Elaine), Eric Osborne (Donna), Greg Osborne (Jennifer), and Dennis Osborne (Patty), as well as many nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews from both the Samson-Osborne and Marshall families.
Donna was a tiny woman, but her small size concealed a mighty spirit, and she was known for never giving up on anything she set her mind to. During her time as a kindergarten teacher, she touched the lives of many children, and while our mother worked, was the best substitute mother that her younger brothers could have ever had. She was loved for her energy, kindness, and the best homemade fudge you ever tasted.

Visitation for family members will begin at 12:00 PM, with general visitation starting at 1:00 PM. Funeral services will start at 2:00 PM. Interment at West Ridge Cemetery to follow.
