

Donna Jackson Montgomery, daughter of Lucille Ervin and Archie Jackson was born June 20, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended Broad Ripple High School and later received her Nursing Assistant Certification. She was a member of Mount Vernon Community Missionary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for the youth alongside sister Hunter. Through her illness, Donna was faithfully at Church each Sunday praising the Lord.
Donna's hobbies included playing cards, traveling and spending time with family. She enjoyed "mothering" and spoiling her nieces and nephews. Family was always first. Donna was loved by everyone she met. she had many friends and was known as "Red Pop" by many.
Donna departed this life October 9, 2012 at the age of 52. She was preceded in death by her husband John Montgomery, father Archie Jackson, Aunt Gladys Bates, brother James Ricks, Jr. and Phillip Williams, sister Loretta Davis and nephews Coceto Davis and Burt Jackson, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory mother, Lucille Jackson Ervin, Aunt Charlene, sisters: Jackie "Blue" Dillon, Amentha, Philis Jean Williams; brothers Archie, Burt and Yancy Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Saturday, October 13, 2012, 12pm - 1pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 1pm at the Mount Vernon Community Missionary Baptist Church, 709 N. Belmont Avenue, Indianapolis, IN
