Doris Marie Bunton

Doris Marie Bunton was born on May 23,1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Vivian A . Gillard and late E.W.Williamson and later adopted by Melvin S Mitchell Sr who raised her as his own. Doris received her early education at Indianapolis Public School #56 and Arsenal Tech High School. Doris was employed most of her life as a housekeeper and caregiver. Her last employment was with McDonalds in customer service

Doris married the late Harold L. Bunton at age 17. She was a devoted mother of 4, she also played a vital role in the raising of her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, partying, spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, she was a sitter for her great grandchildren

Doris accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age , she was a member of Greater Canaan Baptist Church where she served on the usher board and in the choir.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Bunton; father(s), Melvin S. Mitchell Sr & Johnnie M. Gillard; daughters, Felicia A. Bunton & Carolyn R. Bunton, grandmother Anna L. Buckner.

Doris leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Vivian A Gillard, brother Melvin S. Mitchell Jr, sisters Lareesa Tardy, Pamela Sweatt,& Robin Gillard-Bell, daughters Lisa Mitchell & LaShanda Bunton, grandchildren Cameo, Samone, Vanity, Joia, TeAries, Keaun, & Trynessa, sixteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and other relatives and friends.
