

Dr. Richard Lee Fisher was born May 11, 1936 in Metz, Indiana to the now late Orlis and Lena Fireovid Fisher. He passed away in Indianapolis on March 14, 2016. Dr. Fisher was a graduate of Western Michigan University, completed graduate study in Hematology and Immunology at Western Michigan University and Indiana University School of Dentistry. He practiced General Dentistry and Periodontics, for 42 years, in the Chicago area, Rensselaer, Lafayette and Indianapolis. He retired from practicing in 2015. He also served as Marion County Coroner from 1962 – 1965. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Nancy Fisher Pinault and Kathy Fisher Fahlsing. Those left to cherish his memory and celebrate his life are beloved wife, Nira J. Fisher; children: Terri Gootee (Brian) of Martinsville, IN, Trent Fisher (Rita) of Melbourne, FL; sisters: Suzanne Drew (Stephen) of Ft. Wayne, IN, Connie Fisher of Lafayette, grandson Grayson Gootee and nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Mark Lockhart family. Dr. Fisher's family hour is Saturday, March 19, 2016, 10am - 11am, with the Memorial Service commencing at 11am in Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, 5252 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46218
