Earma Jean Andrews
On Saturday, January 20, 1945, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a beautiful baby girl was born to Harvey and Earma Jean Williams. She was the third of four children. Earma accepted Christ at an early age at 23rd Street Church of Christ in Indianapolis, Indiana under the leadership of Daniel Charles Strong.
Earma graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in July of 1964. In 1974, she answered the call to serve by enlisting in the United States Army. At the age of 33, she met and later married her beloved husband, the late Tony Reed, and from their union two daughters were born, Tiffany Reed and Tenisha Robinson. After 21 years of faithful and honorable service, Earma retired from the Army as Sergeant Earma Reed.
Later in life, she worked in the administrative field, dedicating her time to helping homeless veterans. During her employment with HVAF, she met her husband, Thomas Andrews. They were married on July 5, 2003, and shared 21 years together until his passing.
Earma was a caring and loving woman with a peaceful soul. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She remained a faithful member of Fall Creek Parkway Church of Christ, where she served in many capacities, including Sunday School teacher, music ministry member, youth counselor, greeter, and assisted with the Ladies Ministry and the Sick and Shut-In Ministry.
Earma was well known for her sweet potato pies and as “the Avon Lady.” She enjoyed traveling with her family, shopping, and working Bible crossword puzzles.
While serving at Fall Creek Parkway, Earma completed and graduated from the Fishers of Men course. Using the skills she gained, she organized weekly Bible studies for homeless veterans. As the classes grew, she invited and trained many members of Fall Creek to assist with the studies.
Later, Earma transferred her membership to Eagle Creek Church of Christ under the leadership of Brother LaMarr Davis and Eric Heeter. There, she was an active and faithful member of the Senior Ministry until her passing.
Earma was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Earma Williams; her brother, Harvey Williams Jr.; and her husband, Thomas Andrews.
Earma Jean Andrews departed this life peacefully in her sleep on February 11th, 2026.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Tiffany Reed and Tenisha Robinson; two grandchildren, Charlese Robinson and Trent Robinson; one sister, Bobbie Howard; one brother, James Williams of Denmark; and a host of loving aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held at Fall Creek Parkway Church of Christ, located at 380 W Fall Creek Pkwy N Dr, Indianapolis, IN, 46208, on February 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
