

86, Indianapolis – began his final journey December 28, 2014. He was the son of Edmond C. and Pearl M. (Woodard) Potter, and the beloved uncle of many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
His family will miss the tales of his global travels to Peru, Galapagos, Kenya, Philippines, Russia, China, and all over the United States. He loved to record his adventures through photography and left us with many of those memories to cherish.
Harris served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he studied at Eastern Illinois University from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. He followed graduation with a long career at Eli Lilly, retiring after 35 years as a Chemist.
Harris was an avid fan of a variety of music. He shared his beautiful tenor singing with the Hartsman for many years. Harris was a friend to all he met. His generosity, sense of humor, and his spunk will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 3rd from 9:00am to 10:00am at Family Funeral Care, followed by a funeral ceremony at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
