She was educated in the Indianapolis Public School system and graduate from Crispus Attucks High School.
Elsie was married to Edward Blanchard for 50+ years, and from that union they had one son.
Elsie gave her life to Christ at an early age and worked diligently and faithfully as a Sunday school teacher at Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church for many years.
She was employed at many places but most notably, the Christian Mission (Disciples of Christ), retiring from there in the early 1990’s.
Elsie was one of twelve children; 6 sisters and 5 brothers, all of whom are deceased. She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Edward Blanchard and 2 grandchildren Janay Watson and Wileek Holder; numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
