
On the evening of March 4, 2016, Kipp, as he was known to friends and family, died at his home in Indianapolis. Kipp was 73 years old.
Kipp was born in the town of Watseka, IL on May 12, 1942. He was the oldest son of Elwin Sr. and Olive Barber.
Kipp had an illustrious career in the metal recycling business, once regarded as the best aluminum trader in the country. Thirty years ago this year Kipp started his own company Newco Metals and soon after took his Indianapolis trading company to Pendleton Indiana and built a scrap metal processing facility. He loved his work and would give anything to anyone in need. He retired in 2008.
Kipp and Newco Metals legacy will be carried on by his two sons, his management team and all his employees.
Kipp is survived by his wife Jackie, brother Lou, daughter’s Angela and Kyleigh (Scott), sons Chris (Yslea) and Mike (Kristin), and his 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Tony.
