Emilia “Emmy” Paige Kreigh, our feisty miracle, warrior, “cutest-cutie-pie,” rainbow baby departed this world on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017. Emmy gave Dustin and I the privilege of being her parents for 10 whole, miraculous days; and for 14,559 minutes, we experienced the greatest love of our lives. Her strength and tenacity was life-changing. We observed her fight so hard during the short time she was with us. We never knew a perfect, beautifully formed one-pound baby could create such a weight on our hearts. Despite her tininess, her warmth radiated. Emmy was showered with an immeasurable amount of love. She experienced skin to skin, listened to storybooks, and received kisses. She learned about the special journey we took to get pregnant, all about her fur siblings (especially one anxious to play ball), and the amazing family, friends, and strangers who were rooting her on from near and far. Emmy passed on in similar fashion to her arrival: on her own terms and own time. It is in her feistiness that we find strength through her legacy.
Emilia is the daughter of Dustin and Jessica Kreigh, sister to 3 fur-siblings; Bobbie, Luna, and Mr. Jefferson Meowrplane. She is celebrated by maternal grandparents Denise and Steven Weidert and Scott and Debbie Young as well as paternal grandparents David and Amy Kreigh. She is also celebrated by her maternal great-grandmother Wilma Clodfelter and paternal great-grandmother Joyce Roberts. She is preceded in death by loving great-grandparents on both sides, a special family friend and a fur-sibling, Mr. Wilson Phillips. Her cheering squad also includes several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 7th at Feeney-Hornak Mortuary (2126 E 71st St Indianapolis, IN 46220) starting with visitation from 10am to 11am and a service to follow.
A Little Rae of Hope foundation is a volunteer photography company that was created by a member of the family, Emily Bennett. She captured the most beautiful and powerful photos and video of sweet Emmy. In lieu of flowers we would be honored to have you support their mission to help other grieving parents through their remembrance and celebratory photography at: a little rae of hope, P.O. Box 82, Danville, IN 46122 or: http://www.alittleraeofhope.org/donate/
