Ernestine Thompson, 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana, transitioned from labor to reward on the 21st day of January, 2016.She had been a cook and housekeeper for many years. Most recently, she had been a cook at Riverside Corrections. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sewell and Mattie Thompson; children: Thomas Ferguson and Deborah Hickinbottom and brother, Ray Thompson.Ernestine leaves to cherish her memory, children: Clarence Johnson, Lyndon B. Johnson (Sherri), Madelyn Thompson, Karen Johnson, Sandra Johnson and Tina Oden (Herman); sister, Doris Lewis and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousin and friends. The visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2016, 9am - 11am, with the Homegoing Service at 11am in Our Savior Missionary Baptist Church, 9150 E. 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. The burial will immediately follow in New Crown Cemetery.
