Flora Lee Della Ella Beard

Flora Beard, 100, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away at Creekside Nursing Home March 19, 2019. Flora was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi January 1, 1919 to Robert Beard and Savannah Cheers. She grew up in rural Mississippi with her two brothers, and two sisters. Flora was always surrounded by her loving family that cared for her after a serious illness. Flora moved to Indianapolis, Indiana with the rest of the family members who were looking for opportunity. Flora did not marry, nor have any children of her own, but she loved and cared for family members where ever she went. Flora could sing all types of songs tirelessly. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing and shopping. Flora was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Beard and Savannah Cheers; brothers, Robert Beard and Edward Beard; and sisters, Louise Coleman and Alies Williams. Flora leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends behind to cherish her memory. The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation for all comfort and support during this very difficult time. If someone dies, will the live again?
