Fred was born in Chicago to Wesley and Ramona Straine on February 20th 1951. He served in the Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Straine; children Fred Straine Jr, John Straine and his wife Melisa, Jeffery Straine, his wife Ann, Jessica Hopes and her husband Wayne Hopes, Anthony Rivera Straine and his spouse Ari, Timothy Straine, and Matthew Straine; as well his brother Wesley Straine, Jr and best friend Charles "Chuck" White.
Visitation will be at 10 am with funeral services beginning at 12pm on Wednesday, May 4th at Crown Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery.
