

I Fredric Arnold Robinson Sr. was born at Sunrise on April 30th 1935, and departed this life at Sunset December 9th 2024. I was born to Robert and Margaret Robinson, both who precede me in death. I also had an older brother, Norman Robinson (born 8/11/1933), who is also deceased. I was raised by my grandparents Cole and Elnora Brown. I graduated from Crispus Attucks High School Class of 1954.
I married Anna Hewitt, who is also deceased. To this union 5 children were born; Lia Yvette Robinson, Fredric Arnold Robinson Jr (Gabriela), Timothy Allen Robinson (Najuana), Anita Robinson Harris (Elbert), Sharon Robinson Hale (Darryl Sr). There are 18 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. In September of 2002, I married Norma Dodson and received an additional Step Son, Andre Benson, and 3 more Grandchildren.
I joined the United States Air Force in January 1954 and became a Veteran of 20 years and 6 months. After basic training, I studied to be a Communication Specialist in International Morse Code at Lackland AFB, and also completed Electronics Training in Biloxi, MS. I have traveled the world with Uncle Sam to Wheelus Field AFB, Tripoli North Africa, and back to the US Andrews AFB to further my training for Teletype Communications Specialist. After Training I flew to Germany Ramstein AFB to hold that position in a Teletype Relay Center. I left there and went to the mountains in Langerskopf, Germany. After 4 years I return to Andrews AFB, Washington, DC then to Langley Field, VA. From Langley, I went to Laramusel, Turkey then again to Andrews AFB, Washington, DC. Next I went to England, still in Communications. The final destination was Grissom AFB Bunker Hill, IN. I retired in 1974. My education throughout out my Military Career consisted of: City College of Chicago, University of Maryland courses from University of Nebraska, IUPUI and Martin University. I obtained a Bachelor Degree in Sociology.
I became a born again Christian under the leadership of Pastor Alexander of Oasis Of Hope, and received my Theology Degree from Martin University, under the leadership of Minister Troy E. Ladd. My hobby was playing the drums, and other instruments I played were clarinet and piano. I have lived a full life by the grace of God.
Fredric is survived by his Wife, Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM Saturday Dec 21,2024 at Little Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon at the church officiated by Pastor Shalmon T. Radford. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangement are by Crown Hill Funeral Home
