

of Indianapolis, passed from this world into eternity to begin his new life with Christ on May 18, 2014. He was born to the late Rev. Manson Clark, Sr. and Hattie Davis Clark on January 8, 1922 in Meridian, Mississippi. He was one of eight children.
George moved with his parents to Birmingham, Alabama, then to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1943. There he accepted Christ in a tent revival, under the late Elder White.
While in Indiana, he owned C & C Construction Company. After re-locating to California, he owned a grocery store, along with an 11 acre farm complete with pigs, ducks, cows and more. He helped to care for the elderly, drove trucks and had many other jobs in his lifetime. He also loved to cook and he loved people.
George married the late Lillie Taylor Clark in 1942. There were five children born of this union, the late Calvin Clark, McConnie Clark (Alice), George Albert Clark, Jr. (Patricia), Ellen Clark and Denise Clark Porter (Raymond).
George joined the United States Army Airforce in 1945 and was honorably discharged from his service. He was also a member of the Royal Arch Masonic Lodge #114 of Perris, California and a member of Riverside Church, also of California.
He moved back to Indianapolis in 2007. Following a hip replacement, he transitioned to Castleton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, which he loved. They took good care of him and made him feel loved. So much so, that he promised to marry almost all of the female staff. He was truly happy there.
In addition to his 4 surviving children, George is also survived by his sister, Gerty Hansbrough (Morris); brother, Manson Clark, Jr.; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
