George Dallas Hammer

Pete was born in Indianapolis, IN to Richard and Jessie Hammer on 1-9-1958.

He graduated from Arsenal Tech High school of Indianapolis. He married Judith (Judy) Tinch on March 6th 2016. He was a veteran and served in the Army. He was also an ordained minister. Pete loved to make people laugh, he loved to tell jokes (especially when they didn’t make sense.) In these ways, Pete was able to live a life of serving God in his Christian faith.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy and his brother James.

Pete is survived by his two daughters; Christina Jordan and Kathy Rau, his brothers; David and Charles Hammer and his sister Rosemary Matthews (Hammer), his seven grandchildren; Aerial and Jasmine Leibacher, Cody Ottinger, Ashley Stevens, Michael (Mikey), Bryan and Haylee Rau, and his four great-grandchildren; Isabella, Ariyah, Liliana, and Jayce, and his best friend Deborah Faulkner.

His visitations will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm on February 12th, 2024, at Crown Hill Funeral home 700 W 38th Street. Burial and Funeral will follow.
