Georgianna “June” Egold, more popularly known by her grandchildren as “Magaw” and “ Mamaw”, 98, made her way to heaven peacefully on August 6, 2023 at her home and with her family by her side. She always told her family, “I was born in this house, I’m going to die in this house.” and she made sure she did just that.

June will be joining in heaven her husband Kenneth John Egold; her parents Anna May Bristow and George Wilford Bristow her grandmother Mary Wert Richwine, her grandfather Samual Wert; her twin siblings Opal and Ocal Bristow; her twin siblings Martha and Mary Bristow and her siblings: Ronald Bristow, Carl Bristow, Clovie Burnell, Clifford Bristow, Fredia Voight, Glen Bristow, Wellington "Bill" Bristow, LaVern “Burn” Gilbert, and Willford Bristow and her beloved dog, Karma.
There is a poem that says our life is made up of two dates and a dash, and that the dash represents all that our life is and was.
June’s dash was filled with all her favorite things; time spent with her family, lake trips, boat rides, water skiing, porch sitting, soap opera watching, grass cutting, card playing, black coffee & cookie dipping, coupon clipping and potato salad making. She loved us unconditionally—she was an incredible wife, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, grandmother and great grandmother.
Magaw was loyal & loving, she was strong & stubborn. And she was witty, the kind of person who is funny without trying— one time, Magaw shared that back in her day they didn’t give out birth certificates and the only reason God hasn’t called her home yet is because He forgot she was still down here.
Although, we are so sad He finally found her birth certificate, we are so grateful for the many years we got to love and be loved by her. She will forever remain in our hearts and in our memories, until we get to see her again.
