Gerald devoted his life to service and helping others. He worked at Methodist Hospital for 47 years. He took leave to drive Greyhound buses until their layoffs. He then went back to Methodist Hospital, and provided through them he was able to take EMT course at IVY Tech. It was with those skills, whether with family neighbors at work or outside people who need emergency assistance, he never wavered from who he was or about. He always treated people with respect and kindness, even if they did not deserve it, he was not perfect, but a true sign of a Christian. He was not afraid to try different things like foods, music, tv shows, different car types, NBA/ABA Pacers, and even conversations with a different people. Wherever he is now, he is doing the same things as he did in his real life. He will be missed by many who knew him.
