80, of Carmel, departed this life Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Jerry was born April 9, 1930 in Indianapolis to Patrick and Hortense (Miller) FitzSimons. She was a licensed practical nurse at St. Vincent Hospital for over 24 years, and then volunteered there following her retirement. Jerry was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and also attended Christ the King Catholic Church where she sang in the funeral choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Lyday; daughter, Claudia Marie Ringer; brother, Patrick FitzSimons and sister Nancy FitzSimons. Jerry is survived by her daughters, Christine (Dick) Swartz, Terri (Bart) Lewis and Jackie (David) Matern; sons, Mark (Sue) Lyday and Peter (Jan) Lyday; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Saturday, September 18th in Christ the King Catholic Church. Visitation will begin in the church at 10:00 AM and concluded at time of Mass.
