

Deacon Gregory Alan Harris was born October 28, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Carlwell and Ada Louise Harris. He professed Christ at 12 and was baptized at the Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. G. M. Mimms.
Deacon Gregory attended Nebraska Cropsey grade school #22, High School Harry E. Wood (Woodchucks), where he played football and baseball. He graduated High School and went on to
enlist in the United States Air force with a honorable discharge, later attending IUPUI, Indianapolis, taking classes in Business Administration.
Deacon Gregory united in Holy Matrimony in 1976 to Susie M. Palmer; they were married for 48 years and were blessed with one child, Gregory Alan Harris, Jr., and grandchild, Andrew, also including William, Lauren and Landon.
Deacon Gregory worked for the Veterans Administration Services as a Veterans Rep, where he retired after 30 years of service He was also employed at Sears Castleton Sq. part-time for 17 years as a Service Clerk and Meijer’s Keystone store for 6 years as a Night Stocker.
Deacon Gregory was a devoted faithful Christian to his church family, Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church under L. A. Manuel, III, were he was a Deacon, sang in the male chorus and taught
new members classes.
Deacon Gregory loved catfish fillets, fried potatoes/onions, chicken wings /collard greens and a Chick-fil-A weekly stop.
Deacon Gregory read many novels and was a sports fanatic. His favorite teams were the LA Dodgers and the Indianapolis Colts and all sports stations.
Deacon Gregory favorite music included: the O’Jays, Temptations, Stylistics and Kenny G.
Deacon Gregory left his earthly body to return to the Lord on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at the age of 74.
Deacon Gregory leaves to cherish his memory wife, Susie M. Harris; son, Gregory Alan Harris, Jr.; brother, Carl Anthony (Raynatte); grandson, Andrew, also William, Lauren and Landon, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Deacon Gregory was a loving devoted husband, father, and grandfather and loved by many friends.
