Gwendolyn Burnett

Gwendolyn was born Indianapolis, IN to Willie and Lucille Robinson on April 1, 1949. She went to school at Crispus Attucks High School. She married Herbert Morse Jr. in Indianapolis, IN. He preceded her in death. She worked as a Machinist for RCA and retired.

She remarried Alonzo Burnett, August 17, 1990. They met at Wonder Bread Bakery where they worked and fell in love. They both retired from the bakery.

She was involved in many aspects of her children’s lives. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending special bonding time with her grandchildren whom she adored.

Gwendolyn Burnett is preceded in death by Alonzo Burnett.

Gwen a.k.a Mommy Gwen is survived by Children: Dione Burnett, Tamika R. Morse, Kerry J. Morse, daughter N law, Kimberly Morse, Herbert Morse III and Tunisia M. Morse; Siblings: James and Kat Robinson, Maurice Robinson, Cynthia and Charles Ivy, Kerry and Tanya Robinson, Grandchildren Dashawn Jr., Whitney and Tierre-Giovanni, Ashley and Destiny, Paige, Eric, Lil Kerri, Alexis and Jayla and a host of great-Grandchildren.

A visitation for Gwendolyn will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
