

Hannelore was born January 16, 1944, in Amberg, Germany, the daughter of Emma Karg. Hannelore married her beloved husband Miguel Angel Rivera in 1961 and together they embraced the life of a military family, moving often before eventually settling in Indiana where they made their home for over 50 years.
Hannelore is survived by her beloved husband Miguel, her brother, Peter (Sissy) Winter of Amberg, Germany; her children, Isabel (Bruce) LeDoux, Sue (Mike) Sivado, Carlos (Lynne) Rivera, and Victoria (Clint) Meinerding; and her cherished grandchildren, Kiana LeDoux, Quincy LeDoux, Keenu LeDoux, Adam (Tess) Sivado, Eric (Kim) Sivado, Emma (Zack) Patrick, Michael Rivera, Ellie Rivera, Grace Rivera, Grant Meinerding, Henry Meinerding, Tabitha Meinerding, Whitney Meinerding, and Claire Meinerding. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Mia LeDoux, Riley Patrick, Lanie Patrick, and Ava Sivado, who brought her much joy. She is survived by many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Hannelore had a love for travel, and at home she loved working in her garden. Known for being friendly and gregarious, she knew no strangers and delighted in sharing stories with those around her. A talented cook and gifted baker, she was known for her delicious German cakes which she prepared with love. Her greatest joy was her family whom she cherished deeply.
Family and friends will remember Hannelore as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and devotion will leave a lasting legacy across generations.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, from 3–5 p.m. at Crown Hill Chapel in Indianapolis. A funeral service will follow on Monday, September 8, at 11:00 a.m., also at Crown Hill Chapel.
