Hazel Claire Albert, age 96, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Hazel was born May 30, 1925 in Fairland, Indiana to the late Benjamin Harrison Dake and Drucie (Bean) Dake. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley J. Albert. Hazel and her husband were an Air Force family with their 3 children in California. They moved to Indiana to be near the family that Hazel had grown up with upon her husband's retirement.
Hazel is survived by her children, Lila L. Meyer, William J. Albert, and Iris E. Vickery; grandchildren, Mariah Vickery, Anna Meyer, April Austin (Dave), Amber Jackson (Stan), Whitney Specht, and Wesley Biehl; and great grandchildren, Mackenzie Austin, Harper Austin, Santana Jackson, and Sadie Jackson.
Visitation for Hazel will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Hazel will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband.
