

88, died October 1 in Chicago, Illinois.
Helen worked as an executive secretary at the VA and was the long time, volunteer secretary to the principal at St. Pius X School as well a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital.
Helen had a large and active circle of devoted friends. She loved playing bridge, euchre and golf, and bowling with the Chatard women’s group. Helen was an accomplished homemaker, keeping a spotless house and preparing fabulous meals served with simple elegance. She loved to vacation in Florida and at The Greenbrier, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Clancy, sister, Bea Acklemire and brother Patrick Hynes. She is survived by daughter Ann Wade (Joe), grandsons Patrick and Christopher Wade, son Kevin Clancy (Nancy), grandsons David and Aidan Clancy, granddaughter Fiona Clancy and sister, Margaret Gray.
Calling will be from 4 – 8 PM, Thursday, October 6, at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 East 71st Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, October 7, at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
