Helen L. Ferrer, 89, of Southport, IN, died Monday, September 5, 2011. She was a loving and devoted homemaker. In addition, she was a very proud volunteer for 25 years at Community East Hospital. She also maintained a membership at All Souls Unitarian Church where she was the editor of the newsletter. She was married to Joseph R. Ferrer for 64 years. Survivors include her sons; Edward J. (Dusty), Richard L. (Dixie), Joseph V. and Anthony C. (Paula) Ferrer; seven grandchildren, Dave (Kim), Scott (Wende), Mike, Geoff, Amanda Chaney (Clay), Brandy Skelton and Jennifer Snyder; and nine great-grandchildren, Jay (Amber), Dannielle, Isaac, Ethan, Nick, Cassie, Chandler, Abbe, Brittany; and four great-great grandchildren, Dylan, Parker, Serenity and Aiden.
