Henry F. Olivier, III – Tripp to his family and childhood friends – died March 11, 2021, at home. Henry was born June 20, 1986 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Lori Sexton Olivier and Dr. Henry F. Olivier Jr. Henry was a life-long resident of Indianapolis, who left Indiana only to serve his country with distinction in the United States Army. During his time in the Army, Henry earned numerous medals and commendations including the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, the Nation Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Combat Action Badge. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Henry returned to Indianapolis and attended flight school. Airplanes were one of his great passions, and he held a commercial pilot’s license for single engine, multi-engine, and instrument-rated airplanes. He was also a flight instructor on single engine, multi-engine, instrument, and high-performance aircraft. In 2014, Henry earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Indianapolis. A life-long Democrat, Henry was delighted to see Joe Biden elected President. He was preceded in death by his father (Dr. Henry F. Olivier Jr.), his paternal grandparents (Henry F. Olivier Sr. and Viola Olivier), a step-grandfather (Herb Randels), and his beloved mutt Benson. He is survived by his mother Lori Olivier, his sister Kate Olivier (Mike Runge), his beloved nephews Jack Runge and Luke Runge, his grandmother Marge Sexton, his grandfather Charles Sexton (Mary), and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Indianapolis or the Eagle Creek Park Foundation.
