 Obituario de Inell Wheeler
Mrs. Inell Wheeler, age 96, of Indianapolis Indiana passed away on August 9th, 2020 in Indianapolis Indiana. Mrs. Inell Wheeler was born in Homer Louisiana to Irene and Frank Nelms on April 20, 1924. She married Elder Jesse Wheeler on January 23, 1955, in Indianapolis Indiana. Mrs. Wheeler gave her life to Christ at the young age of 20 years old. She was a member of 28th Street Church of God in Christ and was a Mother in the church. She was also known in her family as the ‘Prayer warrior” and prayed for her family and friends daily. Mrs. Wheeler worked as a machine operator for United Hospital Services for over 20 years, and she was also an entrepreneur. She started her own daycare business and cared for many children for over 22 years. In addition, she started her own neighborhood variety store because at that time, there was a lack of grocery stores in her neighborhood. The name of her store was the Wheeler’s Variety Store. Mrs. Inell Wheeler is preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Frank Nelms and four of her sisters, Lurean Houston, Bernice Amos, Gussie Glen and Margie L Boyce. Mrs. Inell Wheeler is survived by her husband, Jesse Wheeler, daughters, Mary Jean Bullock, Peggy Bussey, Betty Majors, Pamela Poore and son in law, James Poore II. From her four daughters, seven grand children were born. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Steven Hunter Jr., Christopher Majors, Nichole Louis, Crystal Williams, Candace Swanigan, James Poore III (Trey), Bailee Poore and Kyndal Poore. She is also survived by two beloved sisters, Margie R. Norton and Cumerdis Looney. In addition, she is survived by twelve beautiful great-grand children and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation only for Mrs. Wheeler will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm on August 22ndh at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery. A private funeral ceremony for only 25 of the immediate family members will be held at 1:00 pm on August 22th at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery with Elder Rodney Avant, Assistant Pastor of the 28th Street Church of God in Christ, officiating. Burial will follow also at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are also made by Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery. Because of Covid 19, everyone attending both the visitation and the private funeral ceremony are required to wear masks and practice social distancing, six feet apart and there are no exceptions. Memorials and cards may be given to the family during the visitation. The family of Mrs. Inell Wheeler wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Elder Rodney Avant, 28th Street Church of God in Christ, Crown Hill Cemetery, Dr. Poonam Paruchuri at Eskenazi Hospital and the staff at Paradigm Health.
