

died Friday, September 30, 2016 at age 68. Ronnie is survived by one son, Eric James Crawford, and two granddaughters, Emma & Madeline. Ronnie was a Vietnam Veteran, serving two tours and was awarded with a Purple Heart and Silver Star. He still carried shrapnel throughout his body at his death.
Ronnie was a dedicated Indy 500 race fan and was excited to be able to attend the 100th running of the 500 race in May this year.
Ronnie was an annual participate of the Howard County Vietnam Veterans Organization (HCVVO) reunion in Kokomo, IN, having attended the last 34 years.
Ronnie is also survived by three sisters, Stella (Phillip) Vandivier, Kathy (Rod) Leatherbury and Cindy (Dallas Miller) Crawford, two nieces, Sarah (Jason) Hentzell and Emily (Dustin) Bales, 1 great-nephew, Asher Hentzell and 2 great-nieces, Eliza and Sloan Bales. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Carolyn Crawford.
Ronnie had many long time, close friends and the family hopes to see them all at the Celebration of Life and Service. The family wishes to thank Jimmy Smith, who has so graciously made arrangements for the Celebration of Life and Service at the VFW Post 2999 at 3553 English Avenue in Indianapolis, IN on October 14, 2016 at 6:00pm.
