

79, of Indianapolis passed away on May 23, 2010. He was born March 8, 1931 in Kokomo, Indiana the son of Arol and Mary (Trayers) Hall. He graduated from Kokomo High School, Indiana University in 1953, Indiana University Dental School in 1956. He did his Internship at Hines V.A. Hospital. James served in the U.S. Air Force as a captain serving as a dentist. He was the owner of Hall’s Dentistry for 40 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, St. Pius X Endowment Committee. He was a member or Nora Lions Club since 1962 where he held offices of project chairman, Lion Tamer, Tailtwister, Vice President, President and board of directors, he also was district governor from 1990 – 1991 and also as district cabinet secretary, cabinet treasurer, zone chairman, extension chairman, Lions information chairman, credentials chairman, long range planning committee and trustee of the Indiana Lions Foundation. He was active at the state and international conventions and several workshops. His awards from Lions Club include perfect attendance since 1962, W.P. Woods Award, Melvin Jones Fellow, District Governor Appreciation Award and International President Certificates of Appreciation. James was a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Indianapolis District Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Indiana Academy of General Dentistry, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Indiana University Varsity Club, Indiana University Alumni Association and St. Pius X Knights of Columbus and Bishop Chartard 4th degree Knight of Columbus. James is the widower of Alice E. Hall. He is survived by his children Thomas A. Hall and Kathleen M. Bernard, sisters Louise M. Miller, Joanna M. Edgerly, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday May 27 at 1 PM at the Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at St Pius X Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 26 from 4 - 8 PM at the mortuary. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
