Jim passed away on Sunday February 23, 2020 at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis, IN at the age of 79, surrounded by his loved ones. Jim was an Air Force veteran originally from Evarts, KY. He was an aircraft mechanic for United Airlines for 38 years. He loved reading Louis L'Amour books and enjoyed any movies that were Westerns and science fiction. Jim was very proud of his sons and the men they turned out to be. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren by watching them, taking them out to eat, visiting them and going to Grandparents day. He truly loved his family. Jim is survived by his brothers: Alan Gibson of Holland, MI; Clyde Gibson of Ann Arbor, MI and Smith Gibson of Whitmore Lake, MI. His sons: Peter Gibson and his husband Paul Caswell of Winter Garden, FL; Timothy Gibson his wife Fiorella and daughter Erika of Indianapolis, IN; Christopher Gibson his wife Jill and sons William and Matthew of Weymouth, MA. His step children: Philippe Steele; Patricia Woods her husband Stephen and daughter Sabrina; Patrick Steele his wife Lanette and children: Olivia, Xavier, Gabriel. Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus and tomorrow may never be mine.
