86, passed away on March 8, 2011. Born June 28, 1924, to Patrick and Mary McMahon McGoff, Jim grew up in Cleveland, Ohio.
During WW II, Jim served in the Pacific theater as a corpsman with the 6th Marines. After attending John Carroll University, he began a 36-year career at Bryant Heating and Cooling, retiring as manager of planning and forecasting.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy L. “Dottie” Jochum McGoff and children Kevin P. (Patty), Mary Therese, John P. (Karen), James P. (Sharon) McGoff, Patricia A. (Michael) Nowlan, and 11 grandchildren. Jim was predeceased by his son, Terrance P. McGoff.
Visitation will take place on Friday, March 11 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12 at 10:30 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or to Madonna House, Combermere, Ontario, Canada K0J 1L0.
