James "Terry" Terrence O'Brien

James "Terry" Terrence O'Brien, age 71, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019. He was born on November 2, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late James W. and Catherine (Knoll) O'Brien. He married Karen (Allen) in 1980. Terry worked for Norfolk Southern Railway for 30 years. He was a member of Irvington Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years. He was also a member of The Military Order of the Purple Heart. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Karen O'Brien; children, Rebecca Sexton, James "Terry" O'Brien and Erin (Sam) Otmishi; grandchildren, Savannah and Kennedy Sexton and Leona, Van and Riverlee Otmishi; brothers, Rick O'Brien and Shawn O'Brien; cousin, Charlene (Martin) Banar; and many nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kathy Rhodus. A funeral service for Terry will be held on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Irvington Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2101 S. Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN 46239.
