

A life well lived was rewarded for James Tuesday, October 30, 2012 when he entered into eternal life with the Father. He was born to Jim and Cora Pack on January 27, 1922 in Humboldt, Tennessee. He was a great friend, son, brother, father, uncle and husband.
He married Emma Jean Johnson on November 16, 1947. Their beautiful journey together did not just survive but flourished for more than 52 years! It was rare to ever see one without the other. They moved to Indianapolis in 1956. James worked as an Animal Caretaker in the Research Laboratory for Indiana Medical Center for over 35 years. He was known for his gentle, quiet spirit. James accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and served him well with an eloquent voice leading and singer in males choruses for a number of churches over many years.
He is survived by his sons, James T. (Emma) Pack, Wayne (Julie) Pack and Carl R. (Sharron) Pack and daughters, Shirley (Terry) Lawrence, Thelma Ann Pierce and Judy Michelle Pack and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many friends. Homegoing Celebration services will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 9610 E. 42 St with calling at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
