

Jim was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 16, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Jeanne Rowen, his brothers Tom, Mike, Tim, Ricky, and Danny Rowen. He is survived by his wife Teri Rowen, his daughter Lori and son-in-law David Sharp and their three sons, Jimmy, Sean and John Henry Sharp, his daughter Kimberly and son-in-law Ed Beathea and their two daughters Sarah and Abby, and his son Sean Rowen and his wife Julie and his two children Megan and Drew and his sister Judy Rowen Johnson.
Jim lived a life full of love and laughter. His favorite things were spending time with his family, golfing with his buddies and playing bridge at his club. He was an avid Colts football fan and went to every game for 20+ years with his friends and family. He loved Butler basketball and could be found cheering them on at Hinkle or from home. He delighted in taking his grandsons to games at Hinkle and Lucas Oil. You could find him trailing his grandchildren at the track, golf course or wherever they were participating. He was an avid supporter and cheerleader for his family and friends. His most precious moments were sharing his life with his devoted wife, Teri. He will be missed until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Indianapolis Bridge Center or the Indiana Junior Golf Association.
Funeral services will take place at St. Matthew Catholic Church 4100 E. 56th Street Indianapolis, IN 46220 on Monday, July 8, 2024. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 am with Mass following at 11:00 am and reception in the community room at 12:00 pm. Jim will have a private interment at Crown Hill National Cemetery.
